Land Grab Weekend

Back from Land Grab weekend.

Whew! It seems that our encampment gets more and more elaborate with each passing year. This year we will be sporting a new gate, new common area tent, new tresle tables and benches and new kitchen shelving.

Really cool.

Also, this year we had seven people working at Land Grab. That made things go a lot smoother but it was still a lot of work.

In total we installed: 4 period pavillions, 2 canvas modern tents, 1 portable garage (common area), 1 kitchen tent (with shelving and accoutrements), 1 gate and corresponding dock (you need to see it to believe it), 1 pop-up tent for storage, one viking firepit (which doubles as a Zen garden), and 2 sumps (shower and kitchen).

The shower tent still needs to be set up as well as the sheet wall, but Jeff and George will take care of it, with the help of Delfina who will arrive later in the week.

Carlos made his first Pennsic, or at least his first land grab. Kid was a wonderful help and had the time of his life. He can't wait till next year, when he will be able to do War Week (this year he is going to Ireland to see his dad.)

And now, back to work.

Sigh.

I can't wait till next week.

rewind - fast forward
