It takes a practice to train a kid

2005-05-16 - 2:31 p.m.

This was a long and interesting weekend, full of drama, fighting, painting and all sorts of mayhem.

The drama, for once, did not involve any family members which is always a plus. I also tested some theories and, for better or for worse, they were correct for the most part.

I am rather curious to see what happens next.

It promises to be more entertaining than a Mexican soap opera.

I like Mexican soap operas.

On a different note, we went to Hero's Portion this weekend and I made some discoveries:

1. My armor legs are officially too heavy.

2. White Underarmor(TM) is too sheer a material to wear with nothing else on top.

3. Marcellus likes me wearing said white Underarmor(TM).

4. Fencing breast plates are great to avoid showing your nipples through the white Underarmor(TM) much to Marcellus' despair.

5. Scouts can get killed.

6. The Atlantian Wheelbarrow of Doom (AWD) makes an excellent vehicle for transporting travelling resurrection points.

7. The AWD can survive getting loose and crashing on the highway, in the middle of a high bridge, at 70 mph.

8. The AWD will be able to sustain damage on the Pennsic battlefield (see number 7 above).

9. The Atlantian Siege Engineers are taking over the Knowne World, one coronet at a time. (Mungoe and Siobhan got their Court Baroncy, yay!)

All in all, much fun was had by all, and Marcellus, Anne, Cassie and I ended up having a grand time at Cracker Barrel in spite of us getting lost and having the AWD adventure.

Can't wait till Pennsic.

We missed going to see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with the gang on Sunday.

On the other hand, we have have finished painting the living room and dining room, and our home does not resemble a Pennsic encampment anymore.

Next chapter: The Master Bathroom.

Fortunately, that will not happen till after Pennsic.

Stay tuned.
